Ranger Suarez was vibing out in the bullpen to a Phillies classic before shutdown relief performance
Phillies pitcher and Certified Stud Ranger Suarez shoved the Dodgers lineup in a locker last night. Sure, it started rocky with a first pitch home run from Tommy Edman, but Ranger settled in and delivered five solid innings.
Not only is he already unflappable, but he was in the zone after enjoying a classic tune in the bullpen.
A fan serenaded Ranger Suarez with a hit off the Phillies’ old victory playlist and he was vibing hard before taking the field:
Someone started singing “Love Tonight” at Ranger Suarez last night while he was warming up, and he was loving it😂 pic.twitter.com/uo11nQGDdz

Phillies fans know Ranger loves “Love Tonight.” You can see at the end of the clip he was jamming to this song during a deep postseason run.
Clearly, Suarez wasn’t ready to catch a flight back to Philly. After that home run he had 4 Ks, 1 walk, and didn’t let up another run. He put his squad in the drivers’ seat with that performance and it paid off with a 8-2 win to force Game 4.
I understand the fan relationship with Garrett Stubb’s victory playlist from postseasons past is a little tricky. While it does elicit fond memories, none of those teams won it all, and vibes were a little too high on the list of priorities.
But clearly, Ranger Suarez’s vibes are simply phenomenal. So I can’t begrudge him for enjoying a classic track of the playlist. All ball and no vibes makes the Phillies a dull team, after all.
