Hostage Situation: Bucks sign Alex Antetokounmpo, now roster both of Giannis’ brothers
It looks like we’ve got an active hostage situation playing out in Milwaukee. Giannis Antetokounmpo has a gun to the Bucks’ head, and they signed his brother Alex to join him and Thanasis on the team.
The Bucks have gone to obscene lengths to keep their captor/superstar happy, but only time will tell if they’ve done enough to placate him:
The Milwaukee Bucks are signing Alex Antetokounmpo to a two-way NBA deal, joining older brothers Giannis and Thanasis, Octagon's Alex Saratsis tells ESPN. This marks the first time in NBA history that three brothers are on active roster contracts with the same team. pic.twitter.com/X7JdTURinQ

As Shams says in his tweet, this has never happened before. Three brothers on an active roster, but only one of them is remotely good at basketball. And, when it comes to Giannis, good is an understatement; he’s one of the best players in the league.
Even more unprecedented, however, is the lengths this has have gone to to keep him happy. Using two roster spots on tot non-factors is the antithesis of winning basketball. But, at the same time, having a disgruntled superstar doesn’t really help that either.
I get that the end of the bench isn’t really impacting winning for any team, but it does seem hypocritical that Giannis wants the roster to be competitive but also demands his two brothers be included. I get you want what’s best for your bros, but
Maybe he just wants to run their pockets one last time before forcing his way out anyway. That would really make the Antetotkounmpo brothers the Digusting Brothers of the NBA universe.
