Aaron Rodgers was pissed at his offensive lineman for trying to celebrate with him
41-year-old Aaron Rodgers still got it. If you’re a millennial and didn’t catch the Thursday night matchup between Cincy and Pittsburgh, I honestly feel bad for you.
It felt like 2012 all over again — Aaron Rodgers vs. Joe Flacco, two AFC North teams trying to rip each other’s heads off. For a brief moment, I was transported back to a simpler time, blissfully unaware of the trillions our government ships overseas while auctioning off what’s left of this country’s soul. Simpler times, man.
Flacco ended up getting the last laugh, but Rodgers had his moments too. My favorite came after his go-ahead touchdown in the fourth quarter, a vintage A-Rod dart across the middle. As he celebrated, one of his linemen tried to join in and accidentally flattened him. Rodgers was, understandably, not thrilled.
Tackling Aaron Rodgers is something only the opposing team should do
I think we can all agree that Rodgers was justified in his spurt of rage here. Dude’s 41 years old, having a vintage game, just hit his vintage celly, and boom, his own guy tackles him to the turf. Jesus Christ, man. Chill the fuck out.
Rodgers getting decked by his own teammate aside, what a game we got last night. I wish every Thursday night game was like that.
