WATCH: Nick Sirianni was LOVING Tank Bigsby yesterday
It took seven long weeks, but the Eagles finally remembered what it looks like to run the football. On Sunday, the Birds unleashed the run game in a 38-20 demolition of the New York Giants. Led by Saquon Barkley and Tank Bigsby, the Birds racked up 277 rushing yards and averaging a ridiculous 8.4 yards per carry.
It was the first time in regular season history that the Birds hit those numbers, and it looked like the offense that bulldozed teams en route to the NFC title game last year.
Saquon Barkley and Tank Bigsby Go Off
Saquon Barkley wasted zero time setting the tone. On his first carry of the game, he exploded through the line for a 65-yard touchdown that sent Lincoln Financial Field into chaos. Barkley finished the day with 150 yards on 14 carries before exiting in the third quarter with what he called a “minor groin injury.”
“It’s cool to see Tank get out there and make some big plays,” Barkley said after the win. “I’ve never been part of a game where two guys both had 100 yards. We were rolling in the running game today.”
When Barkley checked out, Tank Bigsby stepped right in and kept pounding away at New York’s defense. He finished with 104 yards on just nine carries, capping off a breakout performance that had Nick Sirianni losing his mind on the sidelines.
Tank Bigsby ran like a man who’d been waiting for this moment all season. He was explosive through the hole, lowering his shoulder through tacklers, and showing off the burst that made him a second-round pick.
The Barkley-Bigsby combo became only the fourth pair of teammates in NFL history to each rush for 100+ yards while averaging 10 yards per carry in the same game.

The Eagles Find Their Identity Again
For weeks, the Eagles’ rushing attack looked flat. The offensive line wasn’t creating lanes, the backs couldn’t get into rhythm, and the play-calling felt lost. But against the Giants, everything clicked. The holes were massive, the tempo was fast, and the offense finally looked balanced again.
Nick Sirianni was fired up, screaming, chest-bumping, and dapping up Bigsby every time he came off the field. You could tell how much this one meant to him.
It’s been a long time coming, but after Sunday’s beatdown of the Giants, the Birds might have finally found their groove.
