Sick: AJ Brown dropped a killer quote on ‘the thrill’ of what gets him going…
AJ Brown spoke with the media today and dropped an awesome quote about the current narratives surrounding his “happiness” within the Eagles organization.
AJ Brown on his THRILL
“I know everybody’s counting on me – that’s my thrill… I love that feeling. Like, it’s a rush. I don’t do drugs, but that has to be what it feels like.”
Don’t get me wrong, I love the quote here from AJ Brown.
That works for me, brother. You want that dopamine hit and the rush of an entire city being lit on fire around you when you drop a cryptic tweet or Instagram post, then by all means, I’ll sit back and drug with you all day long.
Is it similar to drugs? Not really, but you can slide that right into the Top 5 behind Oxy 80s, Perc 30s, Heroin, and Smoking Crack.
Trust me, I’m nearly a decade clean at this point and I wasn’t hurting anyone but myself as my body inched closer and closer to death during my addiction but sure, I bet having a city with 2 million people and an NFL fanbase probably four times that crashing out any time you open up your mouth has to be some type of freak-power move that I could only dream of.
On top of that, AJ Brown then gets to back up his business on the football field and still, even in a down year (so far), is considered one of the best wide receivers in the game.
The entire thing surrounding AJ Brown has always been overblown.
For whatever reason, Dianna Russini and the New York Times / Athletic are obsessed with him and honestly, it’s likely because they can pair it with the hot topic of mental health being a professional athlete.
That’s fine. It’s something a lot of websites like to do these days.
At the end of the day, I still don’t even know what everyone is so pissed about but we’ve reached the point where you can’t even joke about AJ Brown without this fanbase getting all pissy about it. Everyone seems overly angry these days for no apparent reason.
It’s like all of the sudden, everyone takes social media at face value and pretends it’s real life? When did that happen?
I literally do not give a shit what AJ Brown tweets or deletes. He’s a 28 year old dude just like the rest of us…except that he’s one of the best athletics walking planet earth right now. I’m not going to dissect every little thing he does, nor should anyone else.
The fact of the matter is that AJ Brown and the Philadelphia Eagles are 6-2 heading into the BYE week and have a stranglehold on the NFC East already.
AJ Brown missed last Sunday. Fine. Whatever.
The week before in Minnesota, he absolutely dominated hauling in 4 of 6 targets for 121 yards and two touchdowns. On the year, sure, it hasn’t been great but whatever. He has 29 catches for 395 yards and has scored 3 touchdowns in 7 games played.
I’m a strong believer in winning curing any bullshit and in a couple weeks when the Eagles are cruising into the playoffs as the top seed in the NFC, with home field advantage throughout as favorites to repeat as Super Bowl champions, none of this shit matters.
Who cares what Philly Sports Talk Radio is saying when the product on the field just keeps getting better and better.
