WATCH: MVP frontrunner Jalen Hurts shares a rare, wholesome moment with Jahan Dotson on the sidelines after 40-yard touchdown
Make no mistake about it. Jalen Hurts is the current front-runner to take home the NFL MVP. Twenty total touchdowns to just two turnovers on the season, all while the Eagles sit comfortably at 6-2, pretty much locking up NFC East heading into this week’s bye.
Leave the complaining to the talking heads and voices in the media and local radio. Our QB1 has picked up right where he left his reign of terror over the entire league after winning Super Bowl MVP in New Orleans last February.
While his skill set has finally caught up to his elite intangibles, his stoic demeanor doesn’t always lead to those wholesome sideline moments but even that changed last Sunday in South Philly against the New York Giants.
A mic’d-up clip caught a great exchange between Hurts and Jahan Dotson after their 40-yard touchdown against the Giants on Sunday, and it perfectly summed up the trust that has really revved up this Eagles offense as of late.

It goes without saying that Jahan Dotson isn’t going to lead the team in targets. He’s not getting A.J. Brown or DeVonta Smith volume and honestly, he doesn’t have to. When you need to call upon Dotson, he’ll come up big. He did in the Super Bowl and last Sunday without AJ playing, he did too.
Dotson has embraced his role as the perfect WR3, both on and off the field and the Birds should be grateful. He doesn’t complain, doesn’t cry about targets, and most importantly, doesn’t disappear. You know when his number gets called, he’ll be ready to make a big play that breaks a game wide open.
