VJ Edgecombe says 76ers are going to win it all with Embiid back at full strength

VJ Edgecombe… relax, brother. The way this guy is talking has me ready to BUST.

He and Tyrese Maxey — the hottest backcourt in the NBA, by the way — were chopping it up on stream during their night off. And VJ didn’t hold back. He straight-up told Maxey he thinks the Sixers are winning the chip now that Joel Embiid is back to full strength. Absolute music to my ears.

Unfortunately, I’ve bought all the way back into the Sixers. I’ve opened my heart again and I’m fully prepared to get hurt. Call it delusion, blind hope, whatever you want. Let’s be honest — it’s a diagnosable mental illness at this point, and I wear it proudly. My burden to carry.

So when VJ Edgecombe comes out and says the Sixers are going to win it all, I eat that up. The kid has confidence, and if watching Philly basketball over the last decade has taught me anything, confidence is half the damn battle.

Will they actually win it this year? Probably not. But that’s not the point. They believe they can — and for a young squad with this much potential, that’s exactly where you want to be.
