Brandon Ingram Water Bottle Scottie Barnes Water Boy

WATCH: Brandon Ingram slammed a water bottle on the court and sat back while the ball boy and Scottie Barnes cleaned it up

Brandon Ingram had a full-on meltdown last night during the Raptors’ loss to the Sixers, and it was one of the funniest, most unnecessary moments of the NBA season so far.

Late in the game, Ingram hurled a water bottle onto the court in frustration, nearly hitting Scottie Barnes and a ballboy. Then he just sat there and watched as everyone else cleaned it up. Didn’t move, didn’t apologize, didn’t even pretend to care. Just sat there pouting while his teammates cleaned around him.

Ingram didn’t even have a bad game. He finished with 21 points, eight rebounds, and five assists. Solid night by any standard. Sure, the Raptors lost 130-120 because Joel Embiid and Tyrese Maxey completely dismantled them, but the meltdown wasn’t about poor play. It was just pure frustration boiling over in the worst possible way.

Scottie Barnes gave him that “you’ve got to be kidding me” look before helping clean up the mess while Ingram sat motionless like he was reflecting on the meaning of life.

It wasn’t leadership, it wasn’t passion, it was just bad optics. You can’t be the veteran voice on a team full of young guys and act like a moody teenager because things didn’t go your way.

Somehow, no technical foul? The refs will hit a player with a tech for looking at them the wrong way, but Brandon Ingram launching a bottle mid-game apparently doesn’t cross the line. Wild.

The entire internet was praising Jamal Shead for helping clean up the court after a win. Ingram did the exact opposite and gave us a perfect example of how not to handle a loss. The contrast is unreal.

The Raptors are a decent team. They’ll win games. But this is not the kind of behavior you want from your veteran star.

Joel Embiid mentions Ben Simmons after last night’s Sixers game and this can only mean one thing

You’re supposed to set the tone, not make a ballboy pick up after you while you sulk. Brandon Ingram can hoop, no doubt about it, but last night was a Hall of Fame-level dick move. Sometimes you just have to take the L, grab a towel, and keep it moving.
