Green Bay Takeover: 26.7% of tickets for Eagles vs. Packers purchased from Philadelphia area

Philadelphia Eagles fans have done it again, folks. Lambeau Field, once thought to be an impenetrable fortress, will have a healthy presence of Birds fans, according to the data.

TickPick released numbers showing 26.7% of all tickets purchased on their platform were bought by Eagles fans from PA and NJ:

That’s light work for the best fans in the NFL. Sure, we’ve seen bigger takeovers in places like LA and Tampa, but I wouldn’t really call either of those football towns.

The Packers, however, have an equally passionate fanbase. So for Eagles fans to be able to get their hands on a little over a quarter of available tickets is quite the feat. Especially considering this game will determine the top seed in the NFC midway through the season.

Plus, these are just TickPick’s numbers. Our friends at Phans of Philly have brought a ton of Philly sickos with them to Green Bay, as you can see in the above video. I doubt those numbers show up on the stat sheet.

So, while the place likely won’t be majority Eagles fans, Packers fans are in for quite the treat tonight. Say a prayer for those poor, poor cheeseheads.

Very real and legitimate journalist. I don't see a loss on the schedule.
