Eagles vs. Packers MNF Preview: Tush Push Revenge Tour at Lambeau

Jalen Hurts. Frozen Lambeau. Tush push drama. NFC seeding on the line. This is exactly the kind of spot the Eagles live for. Green Bay comes in banged up and fresh off an embarrassing home loss to the Panthers. The Eagles come in rested, reloaded, and quietly rounding into Super Bowl form.

Monday Night Showdown: Eagles look to ground Packers again at Lambeau Field

Oddsmakers are leaning Packers by a point or two. That feels like a gift. Here is how this sets up and how to bet it.

Why the Eagles should control this game

Nick Sirianni is 4-0 out of the bye. His teams use the extra week to fix stuff, not to self-congratulate. The Eagles hit the break after back to back wins, a functional run game for the first time all year, and a passing attack that finally woke up.

Key Edges for the Eagles

  • Hurts is locked in. Fifteen touchdowns to one pick heading into the bye, and he just shredded Minnesota and New York. With A.J. Brown healthy again, DeVonta Smith drawing single coverage, and Dallas Goedert cooking in the red zone, Green Bay cannot load up on one thing.
  • The deadline overhaul on defense matters. Jaelan Phillips joins a pass rush that already has juice. Nolan Smith is back. Vic Fangio suddenly has depth at every level.
  • Green Bay just lost Tucker Kraft, their best chain mover and yards after catch threat. Their receiver room is beat up. That is a rough setup against a defense that now has fresh legs and more bodies to throw at Romeo Doubs.

If both teams play close to their ceiling, the Eagles are better. Simple as that.

Tush Push Revenge Game

Packers ownership tried to kill the tush push. They led the charge to ban it. They failed.

Hurts has five rushing touchdowns already and still handles the money downs. Short yardage, goal line, big moments.

With the entire week filled with questions about that play, if Philly gets inside the 2, everyone in the building knows what is coming. That is exactly why it works.

Just Push It…

Matchups to watch

Hurts vs Packers run defense: Green Bay has allowed very little to quarterbacks on the ground, but look who they have faced. Almost no real dual threats. Hurts is a different problem. Designed sneaks, keeps on zone reads, scrambles on third down. If the Packers play light to defend the pass, he will punish them.

Eagles front vs Jordan Love without Kraft: No Kraft and a banged up receiver group means more must-win downs for Doubs and Christian Watson. Love has real arm talent but can get loose with the ball when forced off rhythm. With Phillips added to the mix and the interior already strong, one turnover can flip this game.

Dallas Goedert in the red zone: Goedert has turned every red zone target this season into a touchdown. Green Bay sits in the middle of the league against tight ends and has already given up multiple scores to the position. With eyes on Brown, Smith, Barkley, and the sneak, Goedert keeps slipping free. Expect Hurts to look his way again.

Liberty Line Picks

Not gambling advice, just how this feels if you are riding with Philly:

Spread/Moneyline

  • Take Eagles +1 / Eagles moneyline: The Packers are talented but inconsistent and just lost at home to Carolina. The Eagles are rested, healthier, and better coached in big spots. Sirianni off a bye, Hurts in prime time, ball security advantage, pass rush advantage.

Total (46 range)

  • Lean Over: Both offenses have enough firepower, both defenses are good but not suffocating, and short fields off mistakes or fourth down attempts can push this over late.

Anytime TD props

  • Jalen Hurts anytime TD: Tush push factor, designed runs, red zone trust. Getting plus money on Hurts to score is hard to pass up.
  • Dallas Goedert anytime TD: Elite usage inside the 20, seven scores already, and a defense that has struggled with tight ends. Perfect leverage off tush push attention.
  • Romeo Doubs receptions overs: With Kraft out and other receivers hurt, Doubs is the volume guy for Love. Even if the Eagles control the game, that can mean extra targets in catch up mode.

Fade spot

  • Saquon Barkley big rushing number: He has only cleared the mid 70s a couple times and Green Bay’s run defense is solid. Barkley can still matter as a receiver without smashing a high rushing total.

Final score prediction: Eagles 30, Packers 20

Tush push hits. Hurts outplays Love. The new look defense makes just enough plays. The NFC runs through Philadelphia until someone proves otherwise.
