Monday Night Showdown: Eagles look to ground Packers again at Lambeau Field

The Eagles and Packers are set to square off under the lights at Lambeau Field, and while it’s just Week 10, this one feels like a playoff game in November. Kickoff is set for 8:15 p.m. ET on ABC and ESPN.

Guide on watching Eagles vs. Packers MNF without ESPN or ABC on Youtube TV

This is the latest chapter in what’s quickly becoming one of the NFC’s most intriguing rivalries. The Eagles started and ended Green Bay’s 2024 season. They did it in Week 1 with a win in Brazil, then again in the Wild Card round in South Philly.

The Birds enter tonight rested, reloaded, and ready to make another statement. The Packers are looking for revenge, this time, on the football field after an offseason filled with failed attempts in trying to ban the Tush Push.

Yes, the Packers were the team that proposed the rule to ban the Eagles’ infamous “Tush Push.” The motion failed, but you can bet the Birds haven’t forgotten. If Philadelphia finds itself in a short-yardage situation, the whole country might hear the collective groan from Wisconsin.

Jalen Hurts is Heating Up

After some early-season hiccups, Jalen Hurts has caught fire. Over the past two games, he’s thrown for seven touchdowns and more than 500 yards, posting near-perfect passer ratings in both outings.

He’s getting elite production from DeVonta Smith and A.J. Brown, who’s back healthy after missing time with a hamstring issue. If Hurts carries that same rhythm into Lambeau, Philly’s offense could pick up right where it left off before the bye.

Jordan Love Without Tucker Kraft

Green Bay’s offense took a massive hit when tight end Tucker Kraft went down with a torn ACL. He led the team in both receiving yards and touchdowns, and his ability after the catch gave Jordan Love a safety valve over the middle.

Without him, Love will have to rely heavily on young receivers like Christian Watson and Jayden Reed. That’s not ideal against an Eagles defense that just got stronger.

Howie Roseman’s Bye-Week Overhaul

Philadelphia didn’t just rest during the bye… they reloaded. Howie Roseman went full Madden mode at the trade deadline, adding Jaire Alexander, Jaelan Phillips, and Michael Carter II. Alexander won’t play this week due to a coach’s decision, but Phillips and Carter are both expected to contribute immediately.

That’s a big boost for a defense that needed fresh energy and depth.

What to Watch For

All eyes will be on how Vic Fangio integrates the new pieces into his defense and whether the pass rush can get to Love. Expect Phillips to be heavily involved on passing downs.

Offensively, the Eagles should continue leaning on Saquon Barkley after his breakout performance against the Giants. If the offensive line wins up front, Barkley could feast against a Packers run defense that just gave up 130 yards to Carolina’s Rico Dowdle.

Prediction: Eagles 30, Packers 20

This game sets up perfectly for the Eagles. They’re healthier, deeper, and rested. The offense finally looks balanced again, and the defense has new weapons ready to make an impact. Green Bay, meanwhile, is trending in the wrong direction after an ugly loss to the Panthers and the loss of its top tight end.

Jalen Hurts and the Eagles will remind everyone why they’re still the class of the NFC. Expect another complete performance from the Birds on prime time and maybe even a little Tush Push revenge for good measure.
