Donald Trump endorses Nick Sirianni for president ahead of 2028 election
President Donald J. Trump dropped a shocking endorsement on the Pat McAfee Show, stating that Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni would make a great president. This statement comes just a year into his second term, but it could shift the American political landscape heading into midterms next year and The Big One in 2028.
Trump said Nick Sirianni is a “great leader” and would make the best POTUS out of active NFL coaches:
President Trump asked which NFL coach he thinks would make a great POTUS: “We had the great Philadelphia team here. He’s some coach. He’s great. They had a lot of talented people.. Great leader.”

He also says Sirianni would be one of the 4-5 head coaches he’d want for war… pic.twitter.com/9jxZBrel9M
Wow. I did not see that coming. Especially after that decision to go for it on 4th & 6 that almost helped the Packers send the game to overtime.
I get that this isn’t an outright endorsement and more so an answer to a hypothetical question, but it’s not crazy to think Sirianni could lead this country.
Nick Sirianni, of course, has not responded to the comment, though fans online were quick to imagine what a Sirianni-led administration might look like. Some joked about postgame press conferences from the Oval Office and daily team meetings at the Lincoln Financial Field film room.
For now, Sirianni’s focus remains on keeping the Eagles’ season on track. But if politics ever needs a fiery motivator with a laminated play sheet, Trump may have found his man.
