Hard Knocks NFC East Eagles

NFC East Hard Knocks set to debut on December 2nd, but only a fool would think that it will reveal anything about the Eagles

The NFL dropped the Hard Knocks In Season trailer but let me cut right to the actual story. You are not getting anything real out of the Philadelphia Eagles. The trailer already proved it.

People outside this city keep begging for drama.

Hell, there are a lot of people inside our own walls that are begging for it too. Honestly, it’s digusting behavior and I refuse to participate in such humiliation rituals. These freaks wants want tension and a big reveal about the inner-workings of the Eagles’ locker room.

These incels live in the rumor mill and they believe that NFC East Hard Knocks is the key to the castle. Unfortunately, I am willing to bet the house that the Philadelphia Eagles are the least talked about team in the entire series. We aren’t getting anything that we don’t already know about the Eagles. It’s just not happening.

There is no universe where AJ Brown or Jalen Hurts willingly open themselves up to a documentary crew. These guys barely open up to the local beat writers and they barely give the fans anything the standard to begin with.

Hurts literally speaks in Victorian poems and we’re supposed to believe that he will now suddenly sit down under bright HBO lighting and pour his heart out like it’s a god damn Hallmark movie?

Either you haven’t been paying attention or you’re parading around the internet blissfully thinking otherwise to cater to the masses.

The funniest part is that AJ Brown already told the world how he feels about Hard Knocks. Certain websites missed it because they are too pocket watching to actually pay attention but AJ made it pretty clear.

As soon as the news broke he fired off one of the greatest tweets of the year. He quote tweeted the announcement and wrote “Nope.” Then he deleted it. That tracks for AJ Brown. Say the truth. Delete the truth. Move on.

AJ Brown is a man who wants no part of the spotlight unless it involves helping the Eagles win football games and yes, that means actually being involved in the offense. He hates the media. He hates cameras. He hates anything that distracts from football.

I know. It’s ironic because at the same time, he feeds the media like a beast locked up in his basement. But hey, Jalen Hurts is the exact same way. He talks less than any franchise quarterback in the league because that is how he wants it.

You think HBO is going to crack that shell? Not a chance.

So yes. Hard Knocks is technically coming to Philly. Cameras will be in the building. They will get some sideline mic’d up moments and a few speeches from Nick Sirianni that we already witnessed on the Eagles official YouTube channel.

The real access and real stories, and understanding the real pulse of this team is not something you’re getting from HBO.

If the trailer told you anything it is this. The Eagles are not giving Hard Knocks a single ounce of oxygen. Nothing juicy or controversial and nothing that will make it past a five minute segment.

This team is too locked in and too media allergic to hand over anything meaningful. Hard Knocks will air. The Eagles will stonewall it. I will be right yet again. Everyone else will look like idiots. And around we go. See you in Dallas…
