WATCH: Eagles-Cowboys fans throw haymakers in massive AT&T Stadium brawl

Thanks to the legends at Phans of Philly, we made the trip down to Texas for Eagles–Cowboys in Jerry’s World.

The game itself ended in pure disaster, but the trip overall was electric. The atmosphere inside AT&T Stadium was quite the experience, blending all the chaos together in the best and worst possible ways. So of course there was a massive brawl.

When you pack Eagles fans, Cowboys fans, and 21-point blown leads into one building, it’s only a matter of time before someone gets launched into a row of plastic seats.

Stadium fights shouldn’t happen. We all know that. There are kids around, families around, thousands of dollars spent to be there. Every now and then some absolute rocket scientist decides that the only way to express their fandom is by throwing hands like they’re fighting for the NFC East title themselves.

Doesn’t matter the jersey. Birds fans, Cowboys fans, they all have their lunatics. Sunday night they all seemed to be in the same lower bowl section.

How Were Cowboys Fans? Way Less Horrible Than Expected

Look, I don’t hand out compliments to Cowboys fans. Ever. Their franchise has been allergic to relevance since the mid-90s. Inside the stadium though, honestly not bad.

Most of them chirped, but in a normal “your team sucks” kind of way. Nothing over the top. Nothing insane. For the most part, Dallas fans were surprisingly tolerable. I almost started to worry something was wrong but obviously, that peace treaty didn’t last.

Long Walk Outta Jerry’s World: The Exit Walk Was a War Zone

On the way out, my guy Conway and I ran into two Cowboys fans who were chanting “belt to ass” while literally slamming the ground with leather belts like they were reenacting some weird Dallas ritual. After blowing a 21–0 lead, that was the exact moment where every Eagles fan’s soul left their body.

Did I chirp back? Of course I did.

You can’t just walk past that like a normal human being. I didn’t swing. I didn’t shove. I didn’t try to fight anyone. I kept it verbal. Even in enemy territory, I maintain my brand as a classy, respectable Eagles fan who only throws hands verbally.

Others around us though…. not so much. That’s how you end up with fists flying, bodies tumbling, and security sprinting like they were trying to make the practice squad.

The Trip Was Still a Win

The Eagles blew the game, the Cowboys acted like they won the Super Bowl, and fans in Arlington were fighting like it was WrestleMania.

The trip was still a blast. Fort Worth, the Stockyards, Jerry’s World, Texas Live! were all amazing. Forever grateful to Phans of Philly. As for the rest of it, that’s what happens when you mix alcohol, NFC East hatred, and AT&T Stadium.
