Eagles Inactives: DeVonta Smith cleared for Black Friday showdown vs. Bears
Good news for the Birds. After dealing with a shoulder issue, a chest issue, and then suddenly an illness tossed on top of it all, DeVonta Smith is officially good to go for the Eagles’ Black Friday matchup against the Chicago Bears.
DeVonta Smith cleared for Black Friday showdown vs. Bears
The Catch That Clearly Caused Shoulder and Chest Issues for DeVonta Smith..
DeVonta Smith missed Tuesday and Wednesday, which sent the fanbase into its usual spiral, but he returned as a full participant Thursday and will suit up.
The 27 year old leads the team in receiving this season with 754 yards on 55 catches and three touchdowns, so the offense getting him back was non negotiable heading into a game the Eagles badly need to stabilize after last week’s collapse.

Bears vs Eagles: How to Watch, Betting Odds, Player Props and Full Black Friday Preview
No Eagles players were listed as questionable.
The team also elevated OLB Patrick Johnson and safety Andre’ Sam from the practice squad. Britain Covey has officially been promoted to the active roster as well and will take over punt return duties with Gipson sidelined. Covey also got his No. 18 jersey back. That is just good vibes.
On the positive side, Saquon Barkley, Reed Blankenship, Landon Dickerson, and Brandon Graham all went from limited on Wednesday to full participants Thursday.
All four will play.
Rookie safety Drew Mukuba was placed on IR this week after undergoing surgery to repair a fractured ankle. Mukuba announced the surgery went well. The Eagles did not activate rookie OL Willie Lampkin off IR, meaning his practice window expired and he will remain on IR for the rest of his rookie season.
As for Chicago, the Bears are coming into this matchup missing their entire linebacking corps. Tremaine Edmunds is on IR. T. J. Edwards and Noah Sewell were officially ruled out Thursday. Chicago will get Jaylon Johnson and Kyler Gordon back from IR, which helps their secondary a bit, but they are dangerously thin in the middle of the defense.
Chicago Bears Inactives:
The Eagles are bruised, but mostly intact. The Bears are missing the heart of their defense. DeVonta Smith is back. Saquon is back on a full workload. It is setting up to be a game where Philadelphia has every opportunity to get right.
Time to see if they actually take advantage of it.
