Eagles Hard Knocks Conspiracy: 2025 NFL Series kicks off with the Eagles struggles and Cowboys win streak

Look, Eagles fans. I watched Episode 1 of this year’s Hard Knocks, and I will admit it actually did a solid job showing this team’s leadership and fight.

For a second, it made me feel hopeful about where the Birds might be headed as they try to dig themselves out of this mess.

The first episode of Hard Knocks should end a lot of false narratives about Jalen Hurts and the Eagles offense

But there is one huge problem with the show that I cannot ignore. Why in the world does the series pick up right in the middle of the Eagles’ losing streak? Who pitched that idea and said “Yeah, let’s start right when the entire city is spiraling”? It is absurd.

I spent my entire childhood getting clowned because the Eagles did not have a Super Bowl and “might never win one.” That pain hit a new level when Carson Wentz tore his ACL in 2017. It felt like the final punchline to years of misery. And the Eagles still shocked the world by winning it all with a backup quarterback against Tom Brady.

Now HBO decides the right place to begin this year’s show is right as the Eagles start collapsing? Sure. Totally normal. Nothing suspicious at all.

I am convinced Jerry Jones had his greasy fingerprints all over this decision.

One of the few bright spots for the Eagles during Episode 1 of Hard Knocks

Hard Knocks gave us one bright spot

If there is one thing Episode 1 showed, it is that Eagles fans are built for pain. We take it, we move on, and we stay locked in.

Meanwhile, Cowboys fans continue to be the most miserable, insecure people in sports. They need another TV series spoon-feeding them positive spin because they cannot handle when reality hits them in the face. Their entire identity is built on pretending they matter in December.

And I would know. The Liberty Line crew was just in Fort Worth a few weekends ago. Cowboys fans could not talk trash. They could not talk real football. They could barely speak in complete sentences. Just scroll Twitter.

Watch how they behave online. It is a rat fanbase from top to bottom.

Jerry Jones had his hand in this. No doubt about it.

Honestly, the more I think about it, the more it makes perfect sense. Jerry Jones wants national attention placed squarely on “America’s Team,” and Hard Knocks is his favorite vanity project.

Of course he would push for the show to start with the Eagles at rock bottom so the Cowboys can look like the heroes of the division.

Fine. Let him. Because the NFL script plays out the same way every single year.

The Cowboys get hot. Their fans get loud. The media starts crowning them contenders. Then the entire thing collapses in spectacular fashion. It always ends with crying, finger pointing, and early travel plans for Cancun.

And when that collapse hits this year, it is going to be incredible television.

On the Eagles’ side, I expect this team to get back on track. Whether it becomes another Super Bowl run is a different question, but right now the focus is simple. Beat the Chargers. Show some life on offense. Start the climb back.

Whatever the conspiracy is, whatever Jerry Jones cooked up, whatever Hard Knocks was trying to push, it all ends the same way.

The Cowboys fall apart. The Eagles fight back.

Some things never change.
