WATCH: Dianna Russini’s delusion hits new high, claims she was right about everything in her Eagles reporting as Big Cat, Barstool let her slide
It is absolutely astonishing how fast Dianna Russini sprinted to rewrite history the moment she found a willing microphone. There’s a clip going around where she claims she was “right all along” about AJ Brown and the Eagles and honestly, it might be the most delusional piece of NFL media propaganda we have seen in years.
The worst part is that somehow Big Cat sat there nodding like this was not the same reporter who spent weeks pushing Instagram-fueled fan fiction that every Eagles fan, every national insider, and even AJ Brown himself dismissed as complete nonsense.
Maybe Big Cat was trolling her? Is the Massachusetts native turned Chicago sports diehard just a little too happy that the Bears beat the Eagles on Black Friday? I’m not sure but I feel like I’m taking crazy pills.
Watch this clip and see for yourself.
Dianna Russini rewrites AJ Brown and Eagles history:
Did we switch dimensions? What world are we living in right now?
I watched that clip and genuinely wondered if I had slipped into an alternate universe. In what world was Dianna Russini “right all along?” Seriously. Point me to the timeline where that happened, because it definitely was not this one.
Let’s all remember what Russini actually said. She pushed a narrative for weeks that AJ Brown was furious with the Eagles, that he wanted out, that the team was shopping him, and that the entire locker room was imploding.
None of that happened. None of it was true. Not one part.
She ran with out-of-context Instagram posts and turned it into full-blown “AJ Brown wants to be traded” fan fiction. Big Cat saying she was right feels like watching someone confidently yell the wrong answer on Jeopardy and get praised for it.
AJ Brown literally sat in front of cameras and explained the situation himself. He said he was not mad at anyone. He said he simply wanted the ball and wanted to contribute to the team’s success. That is normal behavior for an elite wide receiver.
Every Eagles fan knew it. The team knew it. Hell, even people outside Philly mocked Russini because she kept doubling down when everyone around her was laughing at how off-base she was.
But now suddenly she was “right?” Give me a break.
This is propaganda. This is goal post moving at a historic level. This is watching the house burn down, claiming you predicted the fire, and ignoring the fact that your original prediction was “the sun is going to explode.”
The tailgate story… lol.
Dianna Russini acts like she was booed because she was right and Eagles fans “hate when the truth hurts.” No. She was booed because she was completely wrong and somehow got even worse every time she opened her mouth.
Dianna Russini wasn’t laughing it off. She was trying to spin public embarrassment into some “I was just too good at my job” nonsense.
Am I losing my mind? This is some of the biggest bullshit I have ever seen. Everyone was making fun of her. Adam Schefter threw shots at her, which he never does. Half the league shrugged her off. The only people treating her like some misunderstood oracle are the ones who feel like being polite that day.
Barstool letting her slide? Come on. Big Cat is too smart to pretend she got anything right. This is revisionist history at its finest and it is embarrassing.
Also, the idea that “Eagles fans were blaming everyone” like she claims is simply not true. Philadelphia knew the offense looked off. We said that from Week One. What we did NOT do was take a player’s social media post, twist it into trade rumors, and build an entire fantasy universe of “sources” out of thin air.
If anyone deserves an apology, it is Eagles fans.
We got dragged for pushing back against her bad reporting. And now we are watching her get credit for things she did not say, predict, or even understand.
Dianna Russini does not know anything about the Eagles. She never has. Given the recent streak of failures, she probably never will. Using Instagram breadcrumbs as your only source does not make you a visionary. It makes you unreliable.
I guess it is all just a coincidence that the defending champs happen to be on midseason Hard Knocks and someone needed to stir up drama.
For anyone who forgot, here is the growing library of Dianna Russini’s greatest misses:
- Dianna Russini gets community-noted after pushing another AJ Brown lie
- Dianna Russini recycles AJ Brown trade story again
- Dianna Russini expands her AJ Brown Fantasy Universe for more engagement
- Russini shares her “sources” and it is flat out embarrassing
- Adam Schefter throws shots at Russini for peddling fake AJ Brown news
Eagles fans were right. Dianna Russini was not. No amount of post-loss spin is going to rewrite what actually happened.
