Hard Knocks captures Abdul Carter absolutely locked in during Giants team meetings

Abdul Carter was one of the most talented prospects entering this year’s NFL Draft. Through two thirds of his first season, the results haven’t been great.

He’s logged just 1.5 sacks despite playing 73% of the defensive snaps. Off the field, he’s been just as exhausting — benched multiple times for disciplinary issues. And during the first Hard Knocks episode on Tuesday night, we finally got a peek at why the Giants might be stapling him to the sideline.

The cameras caught a moment from a team meeting where Abdul Carter was clearly locked and loaded — and not in the way you’d hope.

Look, I enjoy a mid-day nap as much as the next person. I just understand there’s a time and place for it. Saturday afternoon at home? Prime napping hours. In the middle of work? Probably not ideal.

For Carter’s sake, at least this proves he wasn’t watching porn during meetings, which was somehow the rumor floating around online. Beating the gooning allegations is a win for anyone. But honestly — can you really blame him for being this checked out?

Getting drafted by the Giants is basically a sentence to football purgatory. You won’t win anything, you won’t develop, and you’ll be surrounded by such dysfunction that personal success becomes nearly impossible. It’s a wasteland for NFL talent, and unfortunately, Carter is stuck dead center in the storm.
