Jalen Hurts AJ Brown

Jalen Hurts and AJ Brown are besties again, now they just need to start winning

Eagles Twitter briefly convinced itself everything might be okay Tuesday night. A quick clip of Jalen Hurts and AJ Brown joking around at practice started floating around the timeline, and for a moment, everyone let themselves believe there was still some hope.

Jalen Hurts and AJ Brown, besties again?

Does this mean they’re best friends again? I don’t know. I also don’t really care, mostly because I never thought it was the giant catastrophe everyone tried to make it out to be. Still, a lot of Eagles fans seem fired up about this.

I get it — we were told these two hated each other. They obviously don’t. Jalen doesn’t crack that kind of smile for just anyone. And it should’ve been clear they were still good after Monday night, when AJ Brown took full accountability for his drops and defended Jalen Hurts despite the four-interception meltdown.

But while it’s cute that Jalen and AJ appear to be on good terms, I don’t watch the Eagles for friendship arcs. I watch them to win football games. If you’re buddies again, fantastic — now go win some fucking ball games.

Fans get really emotional about stuff like this, and maybe in another life, I would’ve too. But this clip does nothing for me. I don’t care if AJ and Jalen are best buds. I care if the team wins, period. Who’s friends with who means absolutely nothing if the product on the field is garbage.

Just start winning again. For the love of God.
