AJ Brown’s defense of Jalen Hurts after a rough Monday Night is the first real sign this season isn’t completely lost

It’s been a tough 24 hours for the Eagles. Specifically, Jalen Hurts and his number one wideout, AJ Brown.

Hurts had one of the worst starts of his career on Monday, tossing a career-high four interceptions while recording the first-ever two-turnover play. He’s the easy target right now, and believe me, I’m not happy with the guy right now either. But I must say, I was actually encouraged a bit after AJ Brown spoke to the media after the game.

Instead of refusing to talk and running to social media, Brown took full accountability for his drops, and he even defended his quarterback — something I haven’t really seen from him all year.

This feels like the obvious thing to point out — and it is — but it’s worth remembering what life was like during the 2023 collapse.

AJ Brown spent weeks refusing to talk to the media, tweeting nonstop from his account before claiming it was hacked, and even calling into 94WIP just to torch everyone on air. It was a complete and total shitshow. Right now, it doesn’t feel like that — at least not off the field.

On the field? Sure. Full-blown chaos. But off the field, it kinda feels like everyone is actually sticking together this time. And that matters, especially when you’re riding a three-game losing streak and watching the NFC East crown slip right through your hands.

Above all else, it gives me a little hope — however fleeting — that this season isn’t fully cooked. Maybe there really is a light at the end of the tunnel.
