AJ Brown hands young, shivering Eagles fan hot chocolate during Raiders rout
It was cold, it was miserable, and it was perfect Eagles football. During Sunday’s 31-0 shutout win over the Raiders at the Linc, with temperatures hovering around 28 degrees and snow flurries blowing through South Philly, AJ Brown reminded everyone why he is one of the most beloved players in this city.
In the middle of a blowout, Brown noticed a young Eagles fan shivering in the stands and casually handed him a cup of hot chocolate.
Just a normal Sunday for AJ Brown.
The kid grabbed the cup with a massive grin on his face while his dad leaned over the railing holding out trading cards. We are just going to gloss over the trading card move. Dad was caught up in the moment. It happens. Not ideal, but forgivable under the circumstances.

Raiders to the Rescue: Eagles ‘get right’ with a 31-0 shutout at The Linc
What matters is this. While the Eagles were busy snapping a three game losing streak and completely embarrassing the Raiders, AJ Brown was making sure the next generation of Birds fans stayed warm.
Philadelphia absolutely needed a game like this. The Eagles dominated from start to finish, outgaining the Raiders by more than 300 yards and holding them to just 75 total yards. Jalen Hurts was calm, efficient, and sharp, finishing 12 of 15 for 175 yards and three touchdowns while adding 39 rushing yards.
Brown chipped in with two catches on two targets for 41 yards and a touchdown.
AJ Brown: Business handled.
The weather made it even more impressive.
The Delaware Valley picked up about two to four inches of snow overnight into Sunday morning, and while the temperature officially peaked around 34 degrees, the wind chill made it feel closer to 10. It was one of those classic late season Eagles games where toughness matters.
And somehow, even on a day like that, AJ Brown still found time to be AJ Brown.
Now, I have not seen much online yet, but I would not be surprised if Spike Eskin and the crew over at 94.1 WIP found a way to twist this into a storyline.
You can already hear it. Was A.J. Brown too focused on interacting with fans? Was he avoiding Jalen Hurts on the sideline by handing out hot chocolate? Is this another sign that something is wrong?
Who knows.
It was against the Raiders, so I am sure they will let it slide. Along with Hurts playing near perfect football. Along with the defense pitching a shutout. Along with the Eagles reminding everyone that when they lock in, they are still very much a problem.
In the meantime, the rest of us can appreciate what actually happened. A star wide receiver dominating on the field, taking care of business, and still finding time to make a kid’s day in freezing weather.
That is Philadelphia. That is AJ Brown.
