Man accused of stealing 100 skeletons from Delco cemetery in twisted story
A PA man has been indicted for stealing 100+ skeletons from Mount Moriah Cemetery in a two-month span. I know, I don’t get it either. This is by far one of the strangest stories ever covered on this website (and that’s saying a lot).
Johnathan Gerlach drove 1.5 hours each way to dig up skeletons and bring them home for a yet-to-be-disclosed reason:

I mean, look. If you just showed me this guy’s photo and asked me what he got arrested for, stealing 100+ skeletons would be at least a top-three guess for me. That’s just the face of a man who loves digging up bones. I’m not quite sure how to explain it, but I know you agree with me.
I get the heebie jeebies just looking at him, and they increase tenfold as I read more about it. Put the act of desecrating graves aside for a second and just focus on the logistics for a second.
This guy drove damn near three hours round-trip countless times to bring home 100+ skeletons between November 2025 and now. I’m all for guys having hobbies, but this is multiple bridges too far for me.
Another detail I find especially disturbing is that law enforcement found eight other “human remains.” For some reason, that needed to be made distinct from the skellies, and the report did not elaborate further. Like… what the hell was going on with this guy?
Obviously, this story is unbelievable, but after speaking with my Delco source, it’s not entirely surprising for Yeadon. This comes from a guy in the heart of Havertown whom I trust with my life.

Regardless of how you feel about goth JJ Redick or Yeadon, PA, I also know you have the same question I do: Why?
Well, that hasn’t been answered yet, but that’s obviously top of mind for literally everyone. I don’t even want to know what he was doing with those skeletons…
Okay, that’s a lie, I desperately need to know. I’m sure that information will become available. When it does, you can be sure to find the updates here.

Man’s favorite actors were Red Skeleton and Peter Graves.
