Embarrassing: 49ers radio station says Eagles fans celebrated George Kittle’s injury in blatant lie
San Francisco media’s obsession with Eagles fans continued during the 49ers’ win over the Eagles in the Wild Card round. George Kittle went down with a torn Achilles, and 95.7 The Game took to Twitter to slander Philly fans, claiming they were singing “Goodbye” as Kittle was carted off the field.
49ers radio posted the blatant lie and was promptly proven wrong by the actual video of Eagles fans cheering out of respect:
Here they are cheering for him as he got carted off. San Francisco fans and media are obsessed with Philadelphia. Clean up your city first! pic.twitter.com/ygcwTiagk7 https://t.co/a8c9wzToOU

I mean, how embarrassing can you be? Notice how they posted it with no video, which members of the Philly media quickly shared to quash the rumor before it caught steam.
This is made even worse by the fact that George Kittle himself said how much he appreciates the passion Eagles fans bring to the game. Meanwhile, the San Francisco media has a hard on for painting us as the villain at any opportunity.
Are we Eagles fans assholes at times? Sure. Do we deserve to be slandered with total lies for no reason at all? Absolutely not.
Eagles-49ers is a rivalry built on actual hatred, but there’s no need to make things up. We do plenty of insane shit that’s actually worthy of criticism.
