Chad Johnson picks AJ Brown’s next team, and he’s wrong on so many levels
It’s no secret that AJ Brown’s 2025-26 season in Philadelphia was a tumultuous one. The Eagles receiver eclipsed 1,000 yards once again, but his unhappiness with the offensive scheme was obvious, even bordering on problematic as the year progressed.
With rumors swirling about Brown’s future in Philly, Chad Johnson took to Twitter to pick his next team. Quite frankly, it doesn’t make a lick of sense to me.
Ochocinco says AJ Brown is going to… the Ravens?:

Let’s just start with this: AJ Brown will be a Philadelphia Eagle next season. Full stop.
First of all, the dead cap hit from trading him this year, regardless of when it occurs, will be the highest in NFL history. Howie Roseman isn’t nearly stupid enough to make that trade. AJ would have to show up at the facility with a suicide vest and a manifesto to force him to make that move.
Secondly, the situation with the offense will be much improved from this past season. Kevin Patullo is toast, and the Eagles have been telling OC candidates that they will have full control of the offense if they come on board.
With candidates like Mike McDaniel and Brian Daboll available and an offensive cast that rivals the best in the league, there’s pretty much zero chance he’s not getting the ball next season. Jalen Hurts says the two are in a good place.
A trade to the Ravens also just wouldn’t work. Anyone worth trading AJ for is not available, and anyone they’d give up is either ass, washed, or both.
I’m a little disappointed in Ochocinco to say the very least. He’s spent the last couple of years extolling Philadelphia as his favorite city. He claims to love this place, yet he wants to break up the band? Sad!
As I always say when it comes to receiver drama in Philadelphia: If he’s not lifting weights in his driveway in front of a gaggle of reporters, I’m not worried about it.
