Joel Embiid They Hate The Process

THTP: Joel Embiid is the third fastest center in NBA HISTORY to reach 200 career 30-point games

Joel Embiid is starting to look like Joel Embiid again, and the Pacers got to be the latest victims. On Monday night, the Sixers beat Indiana 113-104, and Embiid put up 30 points, nine boards, and four assists in 33 minutes.

It was not even one of those “he got hot early and cruised” games either. He dropped 20 of his 30 in the second half, then calmly walked the Sixers across the finish line while Tyrese Maxey did Tyrese Maxey things on the perimeter.

The biggest tell with Joel Embiid right now is the free throws. When he is living at the line, the game slows down for everyone else and gets miserable for the defense.

He got to the stripe 10 times again, and that is usually the sign he is not settling, not overthinking, and not playing like a guy trying to protect a knee and an ankle. He is just playing.

Since Jan. 1, he has basically flipped the switch. Embiid is averaging 26.7 points, 7.3 rebounds, and 3.6 assists in January while shooting 53.8% from the field, and the efficiency looks like it’s back in that “unstoppable” zone.

Add in the broader season context, and it matches the story. Even with the missed time, he is still at 24.2 points, 7.0 rebounds, and 3.3 assists on the year.

Joel Embiid in 2026:

For anyone who still wants to pretend this is some watered-down version of him, here’s the historical context that matters: Joel Embiid has now recorded 200 career 30-point games, making him the third-fastest center in NBA history to reach that mark, trailing only Wilt Chamberlain and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar.

They Hate The Process

If this is the version of Embiid the Sixers are getting moving forward, the noise about decline can stop. When he’s healthy and aggressive, he’s still a problem, still dominant, and still capable of swinging games by himself.

Of course, all that matters with Joel Embiid is how healthy he will be come playoff time. I wouldn’t expect any of you rats that hate the process to admit that you were dead wrong about Joel Embiid until then, but you should strongly consider getting that apology letter ready.
