Jalen Hurts picks his Super Bowl halftime performer and it’s not who you’d expect

If you know me at all, you already know this about me: I’m bumping NBA YoungBoy. Have been. Still am. That’s not new information. So when Jalen Hurts was asked who he’d pick to perform the Super Bowl halftime show and he said YoungBoy without hesitation, I had a big ole grin on my face.

This is also worth noting: Hurts was at the Pro Bowl when he was asked this. Surrounded by the league’s best, supposed to be in vacation mode. Nope. Safe to say Jalen Hurts is locked in.

Jalen Hurts wants to see NBA Youngboy perform at the Super Bowl Halftime Show

Jalen Hurts gets painted as this buttoned-up, classical-music guy who’s always calm and composed. And that’s fine — it’s true to an extent. But nobody’s blasting YoungBoy for fun. You play that when you’re irritated, when you’re locked in, and when you’re tired of hearing noise.

Trust me, I would know. I was just bumping his new album at Planet Fitness as I was busting my ass to build an aesthetic, sexy, and masculine physique.

Jalen Hurts may have turned the page…

Maybe, just maybe, Hurts is entering a new chapter. One where the classical music gets kicked to the side and it’s time to lock in on something darker, louder, and way more ruthless.

Because you don’t shout out Youngboy unless you’re in that headspace.

Youngboy’s music isn’t about comfort. It’s about hunger. About rage. About proving something. About locking in when the world’s doubting you and deciding you’re not enough anymore. Sound familiar?

You’re probably wondering, “how on earth does this white, pretty boy looking kid, listen to NBA Youngboy?” Fair question. You can’t judge a book by it’s cover. I’ve been listening since the AI Youngboy album in 2017. And since then? YB has always cracked my Spotify wrapped.

Anyhow, back to business

With a new, real offensive coordinator at the helm, and seeing the headspace Jalen is in at the Pro Bowl, I’m already getting goosebumps thinking about the 2026-27 Philadelphia Eagles.

And while we’re at it, let’s just book NBA Youngboy to do the halftime show next year.
