Tyrese Maxey lands on Team USA Stars, plus a look at USA Stripes and the World rosters for NBA All-Star Weekend
Tyrese Maxey will be the lone Philadelphia 76ers representation during All-Star Weekend and has officially landed himself on the Team USA Stars roster.
The NBA dropped the three rosters for USA vs. World. Yes, we have two USA teams plus Team World, which will run a mini round-robin to decide who actually plays for the “championship.”

How the format works
All games are 12 minutes..
- Game 1: USA Stars vs. World
- Game 2: USA Stripes vs. winner of Game 1
- Game 3: USA Stripes vs. loser of Game 1
- Game 4: Championship between the top two teams
If everyone goes 1-1, point differential is the first tiebreaker.
When and where

NBC and Peacock have the broadcast.
The Philly part
Obviously, Joel Embiid was the biggest snub imaginable. They also ignored him for Eastern Conference Player of the Month in January.
Joel Embiid doesn’t care however, so neither should we.
The only Philly representation we have is Tyrese Maxey, who was named an All-Star starter a few weeks back, and now will join the Stars team, which in my humble opinion is significantly better than the Stripes team.
From there, you have do deal with the World, who will throw Jokic and Giannis at everyone like it’s a pickup game at the end of the earth. Luckily to combat that, you need guards who can hit the gas and turn chaos into buckets. Maxey lives for that.
Of course all of that is assuming that anyone actually gives a shit and hoops. To be determined.
