Jordan Mailata is not happy about Jeff Stoutland leaving the Eagles
In case you haven’t heard, longtime Eagles offensive line coach Jeff Stoutland has left his position. Eagles fans everywhere are distinctly unhappy with the situation, but tackle Jordan Mailata might be more hurt than all of us combined.
Jordan Mailata literally bawled his eyes out when he heard the news:
"Immediately, I bawled my eyes out."

Damn. If that doesn’t break your heart, I don’t know what will.
This isn’t just a player missing the only o-line coach he’s ever known. These two have a relationship forged in fire over eight years, starting from the bottom and working their way to a Super Bowl together.
Mailata was a rugby star turned seventh-round draft pick for a team coming off its first Super Bowl win. He was an intriguing prospect, sure, but intrigue alone does not a star left tackle make.
The two got in the lab and turned a raw athletic freak who’d never played the game into a star at one of the most important positions in all of sports. Projects like this are rarely successful, especially to such a degree.
So it makes sense that Jordan Mailata is taking this hard. Without Stoutland, there’s no guarantee he’s the player he is today. The two achieved something truly special.
