Olympics 2026: Rumors of performance-enhancing penis injections rock ski jumping world

Just when you think you have heard it all in sports, ski jumping has found a new way to jump into absurd territory heading into the 2026 Olympics in Milan.

The World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) is reportedly looking into allegations that Olympic ski jumpers may be injecting their penises with hyaluronic acid to gain a competitive edge in the air. No, stop laughing. I’m dead serious.

While incredibly strange, “Crotch-Gate” can have serious ramifications for ski jumpers at the Olympics:

The bizarre story surfaced after German outlet Bild reported that athletes were manipulating their body measurements to receive looser, more aerodynamic suits. The idea is simple: bigger measurements mean bigger suits, which correlates to more surface area and, therefore, more lift.

I have to say, this is a pretty juicy tidbit for a German tabloid. I didn’t even know they had those. If anything, I’d assume they would just contain stories about people who used the wrong recycling bin or ate the wrong type of sausage during the wrong time of year.

But I neglected to remember that, under their harsh exterior, Germans are weird little sex freaks. So it’s obviously they’d be all over experimental penile injections. It’s a perfect marriage of two important parts of their history: weird sex stuff and a penchant for unethical human experimentation.

But, I digress. This is not the first time suit manipulation has been an issue in ski jumping. Several competitors were previously banned after officials discovered they had altered their suits around the crotch area to increase surface area and slow descent.

You may be thinking, this seems like an awful lot of effort to add a few centimeters (whatever those are) to a ski suit. It can make that big of a difference, can it?

Well, actually, it has a massive impact.

One study found that for every 2 centimeters added to suit circumference, drag drops by about 4 percent and lift increases by 5 percent. That boost can translate to nearly six extra meters on a jump, often the difference between a podium finish and the middle of the pack.

According to The Guardian, jumpers have gotten creative once officials began using 3D scanners to measure athletes at the lowest point of their genitals.

“Jumpers have switched to other methods to game the system when they are measured for their suits,” the outlet reported. “They include injecting acid into their penises or putting clay in their underwear to make their measurements temporarily bigger and therefore their suits looser for when they compete.”

Yeah, my jaw is on the floor too. I know pretty much every guy has wanted to add an inch or two down there, but very few of us would take this leap. But this is the Olympics, man. Glory must be obtained at any cost.

That being said, a penis injection and a clay mold of your penis are drastically different in terms of commitment. I guess it really does come down to who wants it more.

When asked about the report, WADA president Witold Banka did not dismiss it, saying simply that he was “going to look at it.” Yeah, I bet you are going to do a thorough inspection, you pervert.

I genuinely don’t even know how you test for that. Is this Olympics literally going to turn into a dick-measuring contest? If so, I want no part of it. Just tell me which channel it’s on, you know, so I can avoid it at all costs.
