Report: Eagles among top suitors for Maxx Crosby
You want Eagles fans fired up for next season? It’s simple. Trade for a top-three pass rusher. Trade for Maxx Crosby.
Crosby to Philly has been a dream scenario for years. Fans have talked it into existence every offseason, and Crosby himself hasn’t exactly hidden his feelings about the city. After coming to Philadelphia this season and watching his Raiders get run out of the building, he couldn’t stop raving about the atmosphere.
“Going to Philly, you can feel that energy when you go there. If you love football, that’s what you dream of as a kid. Playing in Philadelphia, in December. I loved it.”
If that’s not the football equivalent of packing your bags and refreshing Zillow for houses in South Jersey, I don’t know what is.
Now the smoke is building. Reports are swirling about Crosby’s future in Vegas, and it doesn’t exactly sound like he’s dying to stay. According to Mike Garafolo, the Eagles are at the top of the list of potential suitors. That’s not fan fiction. That’s real noise.
And honestly? I don’t care what it costs.
Garafolo: Eagles are going to go after Crosby
If Howie Roseman finds a way to bring Crosby to Philadelphia, the Eagles are right back in the Super Bowl conversation. I don’t even think that’s debatable.
Let Jaelan Phillips walk. Pair Crosby with Nolan Smith and Jalyx Hunt off the edge. Keep Jalen Carter and Jordan Davis wreaking havoc inside. That defensive line rotation would be flat-out disgusting. The kind that takes over January games and drags you to another parade down Broad Street.
Make it happen. For all things holy.
