Jayden Daniels confesses his love for Eagles fans

Say what you want about Jayden Daniels, the kid is a competitor. Which is probably why he loves Eagles fans so much.

In a recent interview with Sports Illustrated, Daniels confessed his loved for the Philly faithful.

“I love Eagles fans,” Daniels told Sports Illustrated. “They just embody what Philly brings. To be able to go out there and play against them, it’s kind of just that thing. Their environment is kind of like the closest thing you can get to a college environment.”

It’s rare to see a division rival praise an opposing fan base like this. Most players admit that Eagles fans are rowdy, but it’s typically a backhanded compliment. More often than not, they’re just insinuating that we’re a bunch of scumbags. Which, to be clear, we are. But we wear it like a badge of honor. Anyone who runs from that label is a coward.

I don’t know if this makes me like Daniels any more or less than I already did. I respect him for sure. A someone who prides themselves in ball knowledge, I’d be a fool to talk down on Jayden Daniels’ game.

The truth is, Daniels isn’t saying anything I don’t already know. It’s just refreshing to hear someone be honest about it for once.
