Tough Scene: LeSean McCoy is now hopping on streams with NEON as my faith in humanity continues to erode in real time

LeSean McCoy has been a cornball ever since he got into TV. Call it whatever you want, his whole schtick feels so obviously manufactured that it’s painful to watch, no matter what medium he’s on.

Now it looks like LeSean McCoy is dipping his toes into streaming. He popped up on NEON’s stream this week. I don’t know much about the kid other than the clips I constantly see of him with Iggy Azalea where he just looks nervous and kind of off-putting.

Talking down on streamers is probably the most unc thing I do these days, but I just don’t see the appeal at all. It genuinely makes me question the path humanity is on if the next generation is consuming this kind of content by the millions.

On the surface, I guess this doesn’t seem all that bad. But my issue with this entire wave of content creation is that it’s content for the sake of content. It does absolutely nothing for me. Nothing interesting gets discussed. Nothing insightful gets pointed out. It’s just nothing, packaged up into a video and blasted out to the masses for consumption. It’s junk food for the brain.

I know I sound like a boomer, but that’s just how I see it. I lose respect for people who do this kind of stuff. It doesn’t take talent, it takes a willingness to completely forgo your pride.

LeSean McCoy is a talented dude. Stooping to sit on stream with some random kid just feels weird to me. Go talk football with people who actually know what they’re talking about. Why is this the path being chosen? Are you really that desperate for a paycheck?

It’s embarrassing. Streaming is nothing more than a glimpse into a fake life that nobody actually lives, yet for some reason it’s become one of the most popular mediums out there right now. I’ll never understand it, and I pray no more Eagles players start going down this road.
