Daryl Morey Karma is ruining the Sixers Season, the most fitting end to his tenure
As if last season wasn’t bad enough for Sixers fans, this one is starting to feel just as miserable. Outside of a few bright spots; like Joel Embiid briefly returning to dominant form before disappearing again, Tyrese Maxey taking another leap, and VJ Edgecombe looking like a star in the making, this season has flat-out sucked.
At this point, it feels like every time the Sixers take a step forward, another piece of the roster falls apart. And honestly? This might just be karma for the front office.

Let’s call it exactly what it is. Daryl Morey completely botched the trade deadline. Shipping off Jared McCain and essentially getting nothing meaningful back was a baffling decision at the time. It looked like a GM who has zero idea what he’s doing anymore. Like he’s lost his “way”.
Speaking of which, he’s probably lost the Sixers locker room as well at this point. I mean Joel Embiid basically begged Daryl to not just make a move at the deadline to avoid the tax and look what he did.
Now Maxey, the one guy who actually brings energy, scoring, and hope to this team on a nightly basis is out for weeks. When your franchise guard is hurt and the roster around him is a laughing stock, the reality becomes pretty clear:
This season is cooked. And at this point, trying to salvage it might be the worst course of action here.
Did I mention Paul George? Total after thought. LOL.
It’s time to tank (again)
Shut it down. Develop VJ Edgecombe. Lose every game. And put yourself in position to land a franchise-changing talent in the draft. Because there’s one name that should already be circled on the front office whiteboard. Caleb Wilson.

Which is fitting because depending on who you ask, his NBA comparison is Kawhi Leonard. You know, the guy Daryl Morey almost traded for.
Then you can fire Daryl after this season and hire a real basketball mind, like myself.
