Brandon Graham says he’s coming back to the Eagles for one more season
Brandon Graham might not be done just yet.
While speaking at an event honoring former Eagles coach Dick Vermeil, Graham made it pretty clear what he’s thinking about the 2026 season.
“Hopefully we can win another in my last season coming up.”
That sure sounds like a guy planning to run it back one more time with the Philadelphia Eagles.
And honestly, who’s going to complain about that?
Brandon Graham still has something left in the tank
Graham already proved last season that he can still contribute.
After initially retiring, he ended up returning to the Eagles midway through the 2025 season when the team needed help along the defensive line. The move paid off, too. Graham gave the defense a veteran presence and helped the Eagles stabilize things down the stretch as they pushed toward the playoffs.
In nine games, Graham posted:
- 8 tackles
- 3 sacks
- 3 quarterback hits
- 2 tackles for loss
Those aren’t massive numbers, but for a 37-year-old defensive lineman jumping back into the middle of the season, that’s more than respectable.
Vic Fangio found the right role for Brandon Graham
Another reason Graham’s return worked so well last season was how Vic Fangio used him.
Instead of asking Graham to win consistently on the edge like he did earlier in his career, Fangio moved him inside on passing downs. That role fit Graham perfectly at this stage of his career.
He’s still strong, still smart, and still knows how to get after the quarterback. Putting him inside allowed him to use those strengths without asking him to chase tackles around the edge all game.
If Graham comes back in 2026, expect Fangio to use him the same way.
A Brandon Graham farewell tour feels right
At this point, it feels like everyone wants the same thing.
Graham wants to finish his career in Philadelphia. General manager Howie Roseman has said publicly that he wants Graham back. And Eagles fans would love to see the franchise legend get one final season in midnight green.
The only real question is the contract. Last season Graham signed a deal worth up to about $5 million, and it wouldn’t be surprising to see something similar again.
But if the money makes sense, bringing Graham back for one final run feels like the easiest decision of the offseason.
Because when it comes to franchise legends, there are few players who deserve to finish their careers in Philadelphia more than Brandon Graham.
