Rumor: Eagles eyeing reunion with former star pass rusher
Arizona Cardinals EDGE Josh Sweat has requested a trade, and rumors are swirling that he could be making his way back to the Eagles. The pass rusher won a Super Bowl in Philadelphia, and sources say Howie Roseman is keen on bringing him back after losing Jaelan Phillips to Carolina.
Both the Eagles and Packers are expected to be suitors for Josh Sweats services:

Sweat was a bright spot in an otherwise dismal season for the Cardinals, posting 12 sacks and 4 forced fumbles in 17 games. He clearly hasn’t lost a step since inking a 4-year, $76.4 million deal.
Philadelphia never wanted to see him walk, but the price tag was too steep at the time. That being said, pass rush is a weakness on the current roster, and the trenches have always been a priority for Howie & Co.
Is the concept of letting a player sign elsewhere because they cost too much, only to trade assets for them, a bit hilarious? Absolutely. But Sweat is good enough that it might just be worth it.
We’re talking about a guy who probably could have won Super Bowl MVP with 2.5 sacks and 6 pressures against the Chiefs. Plus, he knows this team and the system they run.
Sure, it’s a bit unlikely. But plugging Sweat back into this defensive line would be a surefire upgrade. The only question that remains is what the pricetag is and, more importantly, if the Eagles are willing to pay it.

All roads lead back to Philly for these players. Howie the hoe master is at it again. First CJGJ now possibly this. I love it.
