New Eagles CB is a certified pilot, flew himself to Philly after getting signed
Any time the Eagles sign a new player, one of my favorite things to do is dig into their hobbies. It tells you almost everything you need to know about a guy.
Newly acquired corner Jonathan Jones met with reporters for the first time on Wednesday and casually mentioned he’s a certified pilot — and that he actually flew himself to Philadelphia after signing.
Eagles new corner just likes to fly around. A man of the sky
Just a sky guy doing sky guy shit. Pretty dope. And he’s not wrong about the view either. Flying into the city is a thing of beauty. Can’t even imagine what it looks like from the cockpit.
The Eagles agreed to a one-year deal with Jones last week, adding him to an already loaded cornerback room that includes Quinyon Mitchell, Cooper DeJean, Riq Woolen, and Kelee Ringo.
Jones brings a steady veteran presence to the group, and something tells me we’ll be hearing more about his aviation adventures as the offseason rolls on.
