The Philadelphia Flyers recalled five players from the Lehigh Valley Phantoms on Tuesday ahead of tonight’s regular season finale against Montreal. The callups are defensemen Oliver Bonk and Hunter McDonald, forwards Jacob Gaucher and Anthony Richard, and goaltender Aleksei Kolosov.

These are end-of-season roster moves that give the organization a look at some depth pieces before the playoff roster gets set. None of these players are expected to factor heavily into the first round against Pittsburgh but getting them up and in the building matters for development and organizational continuity.

Tonight is the last game before everything changes. They’ll host the Canadiens at Xfinity Mobile Arena at 7 PM on NBCSP and 97.5 The Fanatic.
Montreal is 47-23-10 and fighting for the Atlantic Division crown so this is not a meaningless game for them.
Flyers punch ticket to Stanley Cup Playoffs with shootout win over the Hurricanes
The Flyers clinched Monday night when Foerster scored in the shootout and Vladar stopped the final Carolina shot to end a five-year playoff drought. Tonight they get to play in front of their home crowd one more time before the postseason begins.
The Orange Out is set. The building will be loud. Enjoy every minute of it because the real thing starts this weekend.
First round opponent is the Pittsburgh Penguins. Schedule has not been announced yet but the playoffs begin Saturday. Sidney Crosby in Philadelphia for a playoff series. That is everything this fanbase has been waiting for.
