Dianna Russini admits defeat, officially deactivates Twitter account

At some point, you just have to admit defeat. Dianna Russini hit that point Thursday night.

After another round of photos of her and Mike Vrabel dropped, old tweets from her past started making the rounds again. Honestly, it’s insane that it took her this long to delete them. The receipts have been everywhere since the first batch of pictures came out.

Maybe early on she thought she could ride it out. Maybe she thought the internet would move on. But with this new batch of photos, and the timing of everything around it, there was no holding the line anymore.

As much as I’ve loathed this woman over the past year, even I can admit this whole thing is sad. No sympathy for her or Vrabel, to be clear. But their families are now stuck dealing with this mess forever.

Vrabel’s kids have to watch their father embarrass their mother with a reporter. Dianna Russini’s husband, who she has said plenty of nasty stuff about over the years, now has to deal with every ugly theory the internet is throwing around about his first born being Vrabel’s. Just a brutal scene all around.

And to be clear, that has not been confirmed. Given how this story has unfolded over the past two weeks, though, I’m not ruling much out. The photos that dropped today were reportedly from March 2020. Her son was born in 2021. And the kid’s name is Michael. I mean, come on. It is so on the nose it barely feels real.

As Eagles fans, we’ve been invested in this for obvious reasons. The AJ Brown part is really the only reason I care. I do wonder what AJ is thinking right now. If we’re supposed to believe he has been eyeing the Patriots this entire time, does any of this make him think twice?

New England already feels like a prime regression candidate. Even if you put the Mike Vrabel-Dianna Russini drama aside, the Patriots had the easiest schedule in football last year, and Drake Maye got exposed in the Super Bowl. It feels like this thing is going downhill. I have no doubts about that.

Is AJ willing to be part of it? Who knows. But at least there’s no chance Dianna Russini will be the one tweeting out the trade if it ever happens.

That part, I can live with.
