Jordan Mailata’s emotional conversation with Jeff Stoutland could make a grown man cry
Jordan Mailata sat down with Jason Kelce and former Eagles offensive line coach Jeff Stoutland on a recent episode of New Heights.
I was not expecting it to hit as hard as it did, but god damn. Mailata really loves Stoutland like a father.
Just watch it. You’ll get it.
Jordan Mailata gets emotional telling Stoutland how much he meant to him
The word “irreplaceable” gets tossed around a lot when an NFL team loses someone important. I don’t know if it has ever fit better than it does with Jeff Stoutland leaving Philly this offseason.
I truly don’t think the Eagles will be able to replace him.
They’re going to have trouble developing offensive linemen at the same clip Stout was able to. And beyond that, just look at how much his players love him. Jason Kelce, Lane Johnson, Jordan Mailata. Everyone who played for him credits him for helping turn them into the players they became.
If there’s one thing I’m worried about with the Eagles moving forward, it’s life without Stoutland. Based on Mailata’s reaction, it feels like he and the rest of the Birds’ offensive line feel the same way.
