For the uninitiated, Kendall Skalicky isn’t some independent journalist. She works directly for the Flyers, covering the team through the club’s own channels so this isn’t a beat writer getting cozy with a guy she’s supposed to cover objectively.

Fair question, and there’s local precedent, because there were plenty of rumors back in the day about ex-Flyers and Phillies reporter Taryn Hatcher for allegedly torching her Philly media gigs over relationships with players while on the job so I get why minds go there, I just personally don’t give a shit.

Honestly, Trevor Zegras can do whatever he wants. This isn’t TMZ, and I’m not clutching my pearls over who a hockey player watches tennis with in the offseason. Dating, friends, content, whatever, it doesn’t move the needle for me one bit. People get weird about this stuff like grown adults are allowed to have lives.
