WATCH: Jordan Mailata Claps Back at Reporter Over Question About Jeffrey Simmons Throwing Shade at Jalen Hurts

I’m currently writing this from the Holiday Inn in Nashville Tennessee, so forgive me if I’m a little more locked in on Eagles-Titans than your average fan. Or to be completely transparent, a little rocked from my 5:55AM flight out of Philly this morning. (Special shoutout to the very best travel group in the game: Phans Of Philly)

Nonetheless, after grabbing breakfast from The Diner here in Nash Vegas and taking a little 20 minute power nap, I am proud to report we are currently back on the saddle. And so is Jordan Mailata, and hopefully the entire Eagles offensive line right?

Anyhow, Jeffrey Simmons recently made a comment by saying the Titans need to make Jalen Hurts “play quarterback” and essentially challenge the Eagles’ offense.

Here’s what Jordan Mailata had to say:

There’s no reason for Super Bowl Champion Jordan Mailata to get into a back-and-forth with an opposing defensive lineman before a football game. Simmons can say whatever he wants. The Eagles have a game to play.

Jalen Hurts has heard it all before. The Eagles as a whole have heard it all before. Let the Titans players talk all they want. I mean after all, they are the 2nd best football team in this state, let’s be honest. It’s Tennesee Volunteers country. Or should i say Philadelphia Eagles country for this weekend. Am I right?

Let Them Talk

This is one of those things where I’d rather see the Eagles respond on the field anyway. It’s a lot like that guy growing up (maybe it was just me) who is in competition with you over everything, starting positions on the high school football team, women, status, you name it. But despite the “competition”, you don’t even entertain it because you’re better than him at everything.

If Simmons thinks the Titans can force Hurts into proving he’s a quarterback, cool. We’ll find out Sunday. In what very likely should be an ass-whooping.

It’s time for the offensive line to get on track with Drew Kendall lining up for Landon Dickerson, and the Eagles to continue to build upon the bright spots in the passing game that we saw in week 1 vs. the Commanders.

So, shoutout to Jordan Mailata for being the locker room leader that he is and putting out this “fire” before the reporters could even finish asking the question. Go Birds!
