Watch: The Titans got away with blatant cheating, delay of games, and player safety violations against the Eagles & Jalen Hurts still delivered despite it

157 degrees on the turf, melting cleats, IV’s; and somehow, the Titans were still trying to bend the rules to stop Jalen Hurts and the Philadelphia Eagles offense. You’ve heard all the wild reports from this game at Nissan stadium and I can promise you they are all true.

I have been to a lot of Eagles games. I have been to cold games. I have been to rainy games. I have been to games where the wind makes you question every decision that led you to purchasing the ticket in the first place.

I have never been to an Eagles game where I genuinely wondered if I was going to pass out sitting in the stands. So, I can’t imagine being the players during this. Especially getting tackled on the hottest part of the field…

And while me and TheLibertyLine crew survived and somehow made it back to Philly; days later, I had to go back and review some tape of this game. Because quite frankly, something seemed fishy to me.

As you can see, there were multiple instances where Titans defenders appeared to stay on top of Eagles receivers after the play was over, despite Philadelphia having no timeouts.

The NFL’s own rulebook says a player unnecessarily remaining on a dead ball or on a runner who has been downed can constitute delay of game.

And before you call me “soft” or whatever it is you internet people do, let’s just think about this for a second.

The freaking turf was 157 degrees.

Smitty had 10 receptions in this game and was getting tackled and laid on all over the place. Yet somehow, somehow, he caught every single football thrown his way in that stadium, in bounds and even out of bounds.

It’s a shocker that in a game where both Dallas Goedert and Saquon Barkley left with injuries, neither of them somehow ended up with third-degree burns.

Crazy.

It just goes to show how cold-blooded Jalen Hurts and the Slim Reaper are together. And honestly, it makes this win even more impressive considering the circumstances.
