WATCH: Landon Dickerson gets feisty with reporter after he’s asked about his future with the Eagles

Landon Dickerson is back on the practice field this week and it feels like he may be back in the starting lineup come Sunday.

Since going on IR after Week 1, a lot has been said about his long-term future with the Eagles and whether or not Howie Roseman and Co. are going to shop him in-season. Those rumblings got louder after the abrupt retirement of Lane Johnson and the subsequent trade of Cam Jurgens.

With Landon back at practice, he was asked by reporters what his long-term outlook looks like, and it doesn’t seem like he wanted any parts of answering the question — because it’s not even his decision.

Landon Dickerson on if he expects to be the long term left guard for the Eagles:

"That's an upstairs decision, but I would very much enjoy to stay here my whole career."

“That’s an upstairs decision, but I would very much enjoy to stay here my whole career,” Landon Dickerson said. “Do Nick and Howie have a media day? You can ask them that.”

I hate when reporters pose these types of questions to players. Players play, coaches coach, management manages. Don’t ask a player a management question, it’s out of his jurisdiction and nothing the player says will ever provide true insight into the questions you want answered.

The Eagles, from top to bottom, are media trained. No one in the organization is going to answer this question straight. I don’t even know why reporters bother asking.
