WATCH: LeBron James’ handshake with Dean Wade is nothing like the one he gives the rest of the Sixers

LeBron James getting introduced at Xfinity Mobile Arena as a member of the Philadelphia 76ers still doesn’t feel real.

We’re a few games into the season, and the Sixers look like a legit contender. Still, hearing LeBron James get the call in South Philly is going to take a while to get used to.

At the very least, we need to talk about one part of the intros that’s absolutely hilarious. When LeBron takes the court, he runs through his handshakes with all his teammates. Normal stuff, everybody gets their dap. Then he gets to Dean Wade, and it’s a completely different interaction.

It’s the Key & Peele handshake. If you’re not familiar, I’m not going to try to type it out. Just watch.

Plot Twist: It’s not even a LeBron James thing.

It’s a Dean Wade thing. Apparently Wade has been pulling this move for years, going back to his Cleveland days. Here he is doing it with James Harden

Dean Wade is the mastermind, as shown here in Cleveland.

Dean Wade has been doing this for nearly a decade in Cleveland… https://t.co/vg191hMGHj

Vibes are high in South Philly right now, and when the team’s winning, the bits only get better. The Sixers are back in action tomorrow night in Indiana against the Pacers.
