Eagles Giants Odds Picks

Eagles vs. Giants odds: Somehow, the Birds are only 3-point underdogs

It’s the first-place team on its third quarterback against the last-place team on its fourth.

The Eagles (2-5) visit the Giants as 3-point underdogs with Joe Milton making his first NFL start. How New York is favored by just three against a team that hasn’t won since the Phillies were still playing regular-season baseball is beyond me.

Giants at Eagles – Sunday 1PM – Lincoln Financial Field:

Spread/moneyline: Giants -3 (-174), Eagles +3 (+146)
Total: 38.5
Kickoff: Sunday, 8:20 p.m.

Passing props

  • JJ McCarthy: 214.5 yards, 1.5 TD (+174/-240), 0.5 INT (-130/-102), 17.5 completions, 29.5 attempts
  • Joe Milton: 188.5 yards, 0.5 TD (-225/+164), 0.5 INT (-162/+122), 17.5 completions, 31.5 attempts

Milton is a total wild card going against a strange Giants pass defense: third in yards allowed but 30th in sacks per attempt. My guess is that he got the job less for strategy and more because he can run for his life, which McKee can’t.

McCarthy threw for 252 yards in his Giants debut last week against Houston, but 182 of them came on six completions. I still think he clears his number.

Rushing props

  • Devin Singletary: 57.5 yards, 15.5 attempts
  • Saquon Barkley: 53.5 yards, 12.5 attempts
  • Elijah Mitchell: 24.5 yards
  • Joe Milton: 23.5 yards
  • JJ McCarthy: 17.5 yards
  • Gregory Desrosiers: 10.5 yards

Barkley only needs one or two big runs to clear 53.5 against a Giants run defense that ranks 26th in yards per game and 27th in yards per carry. He was limited Thursday but has no injury designation.

Singletary is the last man standing for New York, with Cam Skattebo doubtful and Tyrone Tracy on IR. And against this Eagles defense, he might not need much help. Whether it’s scheme or effort, it sure isn’t talent.

Receiving props

  • Malik Nabers: 72.5 yards, 5.5 receptions
  • Isaiah Likely: 43.5 yards, 4.5 receptions
  • Makai Lemon: 39.5 yards, 4.5 receptions
  • Dallas Goedert: 35.5 yards, 3.5 receptions
  • Darius Cooper: 27.5 yards, 2.5 receptions
  • Malachi Fields: 23.5 yards, 2.5 receptions
  • Marquise Brown: 17.5 yards, 1.5 receptions
  • Devin Singletary: 14.5 yards, 2.5 receptions
  • Darnell Mooney: 12.5 yards, 1.5 receptions
  • Saquon Barkley: 9.5 yards, 1.5 receptions
  • Eli Stowers: 5.5 yards, 0.5 receptions

Nabers is on fire, with four straight games of at least six catches and 111 yards. For the Eagles, rookie Makai Lemon has 13 catches for 124 yards and a touchdown over his last two games, and Goedert has four or more catches in five of six.

Anytime touchdown

  • Devin Singletary: +105
  • Saquon Barkley: +115
  • Malik Nabers: +185
  • Isaiah Likely: +220
  • Dallas Goedert: +280
  • Makai Lemon / JJ McCarthy: +340
  • Elijah Mitchell: +400
  • Joe Milton: +470
  • Malachi Fields: +490
  • Darius Cooper: +550

If you’re betting for either team to score touchdowns, seek help. I will take Saquon Barkley though. That’s a lock.
