Broad Street Buddies Started a Petition to Let the Sixers Play Exclusively at Home.

Our friends over at Broad Street Buddies have created the ONLY petition worth signing on Change.org. Well, maybe not – but to be honest I’ve never looked at the petitions available.
Luckily – they have provided the only one that matters:
Let the 76ers play all of their games at home https://t.co/xNSvraPhNd

LET THE 76ERS PLAY ALL OF THEIR GAMES AT HOME.
Look, it might seem a bit crazy. But if you really stop and think about it – it’s only fair. Let me explain:
- Joel Embiid is too tall to fit on a plane comfortably. I’m 6’2 (6’2.5 but I won’t flex any further) and I can barely fit on a plane. Being over 7ft tall must be a pain in the ass and asking “The Best Center In The World” to do such a thing is just rude.
- Matisse Thybulle is too young to travel alone. Matisse can’t travel without parental supervision. Basically, child endangerment allowing him to board a plane alone and travel to different states.
- Mike Scott only has fans in Philadelphia. I’m sure the Hive would agree with me here. Mike Scott is beloved by Philadelphia. Taking him out of the city and forcing him to play in front of fans who see him for who he actually is, is NOT great for mental health.
- Playing in Philadelphia is actually harder on the home team. Have you ever seen how Philadelphia fans boo their OWN team? It’s disgraceful. Philadelphia? Booing their own players? And you want to convince me otherwise that playing on the road is actually harder than at home. C’mon – what other city does that?
Sign the petition. The city and the 76ers depend on it. It’s for the best of the team. We must Unite, or we will certainly Die.
In all seriousness – the Sixers are a leagues best 27-2 at home and an abysmal 9-22 on the road. Joel Embiid put up career numbers tonight as the Sixers blew out the Hawks at home. Miami lost tonight to Cleveland – where we are heading on Wednesday unless this petition saves us from the road.
