Schedule Change (Again): Phillies will now have a Double Header Saturday

The MLB 2020 continues to be an absolute mess. No one knows what’s going on or what the plan is. It changes minute by minute. Lucky for The Liberty Line, I’ll just keep pumping out baseball updates as they change daily.
Here’s where we are now.
Players have been told that if they were exposed to the virus by playing the Marlins, those positive tests would show up between Thursday and Saturday. So this makes sense. https://t.co/9pTv5jWzyV

Since there’s a bit of a shelf life on the virus, the MLB has now decided that Friday games will be suspended as well. The Phillies will resume play on Saturday at CBP with a double header against the HOME TEAM Toronto Blue Jays.
The MLB trying to navigate through this reminds me of me and my friends trying to plan something together. There are a million different group texts, and a bunch of different plans and ideas on what we’re doing. It’s so bad, that Andrew McCutchen found out about the most recent update on Twitter.

So bizarre. And the icing on the cake is the fact with the double header games, the MLB is considering making them 7 innings only. I haven’t seen any official word on that but just something to keep an eye on.
There was reports that the Phillies were just going to start over with Nola and Wheeler taking the mound Friday and Saturday. We’ll see if they are both out there for the double header.
In other news the MLB just suspended future Cooperstown Legend Joe Kelly for 8 GAMES after throwing at Astros* players two nights ago. If this was a regular season, that would equal a 22 game suspension. Note: No Astros players were held accountable for cheating.
MLB needs to get its shit together. Fast.
But until then…Ring that bell, baby.
