Isaiah Joe to join Blue Coats in G-League Bubble

According to a team announcement, Sixers rookie Isaiah Joe will be joining the Delaware Blue Coats down in the G-League bubble. Joe looked to be finding a way into the Sixers rotation but could benefit from some extended playing time with the Blue Coats. During his 20 games with the Sixers, Joe played 12 minutes a game and shot 38% from three in those games.
Joe will be joining Rayjon Tucker and Paul Reed down in Florida. The Blue Coats currently hold a 7-4 record in the bubble and have four games left until the playoffs. Delaware is led by a dominant Paul Reed, averaging 22 points and 11 rebounds on an incredible 60% shooting.
Isaiah’s absence will open up more minutes for Furkan Korkmaz, who he was battling with minutes for, and fellow rookie Tyrese Maxey. In the limited time that Joe played, his presence was greatly felt, and he has a high upside on the perimeter for the Sixers going forward. Adding him to the Blue Coats’ roster should help bolster their championship aspirations in the bubble.
Reed, Tucker, and Joe will return to the 76ers on March 9th following the bubble’s conclusion. Hopefully, with their extended playtime, they can help provide an impact off the bench for the Sixers as they continue their second half of the season.
