The Misery Report: Opening Day and the return of Joel Embiid

The Misery Report is back with a new episode this week. You can catch it on Fox Sports The Gambler today at 5PM. It’s also available on wherever you listen to podcasts. As usual, we’re running through a ton of topics on everything Philly sports. If you’re in the city, turn that dial to 102.5 FM and catch us later today. If not, welcome to the year 2021. Stream it straight from your phone or web browser at foxphlgambler.com.
Today we’re talking:
- Phillies Opening Day
- Bullpen PTSD
- Odubel Herrera or Mickey Moniak?
- Sixers Road Trip Recap
- The Return of Joel Embiid
- The Flyers Stink
Joel Embiid is expected to return to the lineup tonight against the Minnesota Timberwolves which of course, brings up memories from earlier last season where the Wells Fargo Center was up in flames as Embiid and Karl Anthony Towns got into an all-out brawl. We look ahead as the Sixers sit a half-game behind the Brooklyn Nets in the Eastern Conference Standings and how they match up with the favorites in the East come playoff time.
The Phillies won in walk-off fashion on Opening Day against the Atlanta Braves 3-2. Adam Haseley pulled his groin yet again which leaves us questioning if Odubel Herrera or Mickey Moniak would make the most sense for the Phillies to call-up while Haseley is out due to injury. We touch on the Eagles ability to get draft picks right and the complete dismantling of the Philadelphia Flyers in the month of March.
Tune in. Follow the pod. Rate 5-Stars. You know the drill.
