Playoff Preparation: Quotes from yesterday’s 76ers practice

Even though the 76ers have a week off before the playoffs, they are still in Camden preparing for the road ahead. Yesterday the 76ers held their first of several practices this week to keep everyone in shape for Game 1 on Sunday.
“It’s a training camp for the playoffs. You know, you have a training camp for the regular season, then you have a training camp for the playoffs. They are two different things. Regular Season, you’re just learning how to play with each other. For the playoffs, you’re fine-tuning what you already know. So that’s what we’re doing.” – Doc Rivers
This break will be nice for the Sixers, who had a brutal stretch of back-to-backs alongside very few rest days to end the season. Currently, Philly is waiting to see who they will play following Thursday’s play-in game between the Indiana Pacers and Washington Wizards. The city of Philadelphia is fired up for the championship run, and so are the players.
“This is why you play basketball, for these opportunities and these moments, to be able to reach the highest peak of the game and win at the highest level. That’s something I don’t take for granted. That’s something that continues to make me strive to work. It’s an opportunity in front of us, and to be on this good of a team, besides talent, just to be around this group of individuals as a whole, that’s important. We have fun being around each other and playing basketball.” – Tobias Harris.
The 76ers will have another practice later this afternoon and will culminate with a light shootaround on Saturday, the day before game one. Everything is lining up for a title push for the 76ers, having to not face the Milwaukee Bucks or Brooklyn Nets until the Eastern Conference Finals.
